In the name of God Amen, I William WOOD of Bowram in the County of Yorkshire and in the Parish of Startford (being in perfect memory thro' the mercy of God) do make this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following (that is to say)
First I do Give unto Dorothy my Wife all the Income of all my Lands, Houses and all the appertinances thereunto belonging and all my Household Goods dureing her Natural Life
Item I do give into my Eldest Son William to him and his heirs for ever the Shop and Room above and all the appertinances thereunto belonging Situate in the Parish & County aforesaid and the Clock now standing in my present Dwelling House at Bowrain in the County & Parish afores[ai]d after the Death of Dorothy my Wife
Item I do Give and Bequeath unto my Next Son John the part of houses now in posession of Thomas HOBSON at Startford in the Parish of Startford & County afores[ai]d out of which he is to pay to my Youngest Son Thomas one Pound one shilling at the Death of Dorothy my Wife at which time he is to Enter
Item I do Give and Bequeath unto Joseph my Next son all the Houses Orchards and Common Right and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him and his Heirs for ever, Situate and living in Bowrain in the County and Parish afors[ai]d
Item I do Give unto my Eldest Daughter Elizabeth one shilling.
Item I do Give unto Mary my Younger Daughter the part of Houses now in Posession of Isable AUD at Startford in the Parish of Startford and County afores[ai]d together with all my Household Goods except the Clock which now standeth in my present Dweling House at Bowrain in the Parish & County afores[ai]d at the Death of Dorothy my Wife, which I leave as my sole Executrix, Dureing her Life,
Lastly I do make and Constitute Dorothy my said Wife, Executrix of this my last Will & Testament Dureing her Natural Life and then the above s[ai]d Lands, Houses, Money & Goods, to go and be disposed of in form & manner above written
I Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this Fifteenth Day of August in the year of our Lord God One Thousand seven Hundred and Forty Six
Item I do will that my above mentioned Childer do bury me, and pay my Funeral Expenses every one according to their several shares mentioned in this my Last Will and Testament
