In the name of God Amen I Isbell Mitchell Widdow of B[oldron] of the Parish of Startforth in the County of York being [sick] in body but of good & perfect memory thanks be to [ ] God; & Calling to Remembrance the uncertaine Estate of th[is] transitory life, & that all flesh must yield unto Death wh[en] Shall please God to Call; I do Make, Constitute, ordaine [ ] This my Last will & testament in manner & forme following revokeing & annulling by these present all & every of my [wills] and Testaments, will & wills heretofore by me made [ ] Either by word or by writeing: And this to be taken only for [my] last will & testament & none other; And first being penitent [ ] from the bottem of my heart for my sins past; I most humbly [ ] forgiven for the same; I give & commit my soul unto Almighty God my Saviour & Redeemer, in whom and by the merits of Jesus Chr[ist] I trust & believe assuredly to be saved, & to have full Remission and forgiveness of all my sins; And that my sould with my body at the ge[ ] Day or resurrection, shall rise againe with Joy & through the merits of Christs Death & Passion Possesse & Inherit the Kingdome of heaven, prepared for his Elect & Chosen, my body to be buried in such place where it shall please my Executor hereafter to appoint & name And for the settling of my temporal Estate & such goods, Chattels, & Debts as it hath pleased god, far above my Deserts to bestow upon me I [ ] give & witness the same in manner & forme following (that is to say) [ ] I will that all those Debts & Duties as I owe in Right or conscience to any manner of person or persons whatsoever, Shall be well & truly [ ] and paid, by my Executor hereafter named; within con[ ] after my Decease: Item I give & bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Redeemer & my body to be Decently buried att the Discretion of my Executor Josiah Mitchell my Son Item I give to Jonathan Mitchell my son five shillings Item I give to William Mitchell my son twenty shillings & the bed & beding I lye in Item I give to James Mitchell my son five shillings Item I give to Joseph Mitchell my son twenty shillings Item I give to Ann Stainsby my sister two shillings & six pence & a green saie Apron & my Apparell be ordred betwixt the wives of Wm Mitchell & Joseph my sons, & a Cubert & a long settle to my son Joseph & all the remainder of my goods or household stuffe to my Executor In Witness whereunto I have sett my hand & seal
