Will 27 June 1890
This is the last will of me Ann Ward of Balderton in the county of Nottingham Spinster. I appoint John Bradley of Newark upon Trent in the said county Baker and my nephew George Henry Wand to be executors of this my will. I give to my brother James Ward the legacy or sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings. I also give to my nephew William Wand the legacy or sum of five pounds. I direct my said executors to stand possessed of the residue of my said personal estate and to convert into money such part there of as shall not consist of money and to pay all my funeral and other expenses upon trust to divide the surplus into four equal parts and to pay to my niece Emma Johnson one fourth part or share thereof to my niece Ann Elizabeth Langston one other fourth part or share thereof unto the children of my late niece Harriet Wholey one other fourth part or share thereof and to my said nephew George Henry Ward the remaining one fourth part or share thereof and I direct that in the case of either of my said nieces shall be dead at my decease leaving children such children shall take their parents share. I revoke all former Wills by me made, in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand this seventeenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and ninety

Signed by the above named Ann Ward as her last will and testament of us both being present at the same time who in her presence and in the presence of each other have here unto subscribed our names as witnessed

This is the codicil to the last will of me Ann Ward formerly of Balderton in the county of Nottingham spinster but now of no. 9 Wellington Road Newark in the same county. Whereas I have in and by my said Will bearing date the seventeenth day of June One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety given to my nephew William Ward the legacy or sum of five pounds. Now I do hereby revoke and cancel such bequest of the said William Ward and in all other respects I confirm my said Will. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of April one thousand nine hundred and three Ann Ward x her mark
Signed by the above named Ann Ward as and for a codicil to her last will in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have here unto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been previously read over to her and she appeared perfectly to understand the same and made her mark there to in our presence
