In the Name of God Amen I Dorothy Alchin of Wadhurst in the County of Sussex being very Sick and weake in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised bee God doe this five and twentith day of ffebruary in the yeare of our Lord God One Thousand six hundred Eighty Eight make and ordaine this to bee my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following first and principally I Commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God hopeing through the Merritts death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinns and my Body I Comitt to the Earth to bee decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as touching the disposition of such personall Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon mee I give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give to the poore of the parish of Wadhurst the sume of thirty shillings to bee paid unto them by my Executrix within three months after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Alchin the sume of fifty pounds to bee paid unto her by my Executrix within twelve months after my decease upon Condition of my said Sister Alchin shall give security to pay the said fifty pounds after her death to Elizabeth Newington of Laughton Item I give to the said Elizabeth Newington the sume of fifty pounds more to bee paid unto her by my Executrix within one yeare after my decease Item I give to Richard Alchin of Buxted the sume of fifty pounds to bee paid unto him by my Executrix within one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Cozen John Monke the sume of fifty pounds to bee paid unto him by my Executrix within one yeare after my decease Item I give unto my Brother Alchin and to his two daughters the sume of ten pounds a peice to bee paid unto them by my Executrix within one yeare after my decease Item I give unto Mrs Erridge my Kinswoman the sume of fifty pounds to bee paid unto her by my Executrix within twelve months after my decease upon the Condition that If the said Mrs Erridge shall dye without heires of her Body the said fifty pounds may bee Secured to bee paid to my Cozen Richard Alchins Children equally to bee devided that shall bee then liveing Imediately after the decease of the said Mrs Erridge Item I give unto my Cozen Richard Challender the sume of five pounds to bee paid unto him by my Executrix within one yeare after my decease Item I give unto my Loveing Sister Anne Wenham the sume of two hundred pounds upon the trust That shee shall have the full benefitt and Interest of the said two hundred pounds during the terme of her naturall life and after her decease I give one hundred pounds of the said two hundred pounds unto Anne Benge daughter of my Cozen William Benge and the other hundred pounds equally to be divided I give unto Lucey and Elizabeth two other daughters of my Cozen William Benge to bee paid to such person as my said Sister Wenham shall think fitt in trust for them after her decease untill they shall marry or Attaine the Age of Eighteen yeares Item I give unto all my Cozen Benges Servants the sume of five shillings a peice to bee paid to them by my Executrix within one month after my decease Lastly I make and ordaine my said Loveing Sister Anne Wenham full and sole Executrix of this my Last Will to whome I give all the Rest and residue of my Estate not herein before given in Wittnesse whereof I have to this my Last Will and other Wills sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Dorothy Alchin
