In the name of God Amen. I William Busfield of Bolron in the County of York _ Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory priased be God Do make this my last Will and Testament But first and principally I comend my Soul ito the Hands of my almighty Creator hoping through the meritts of my Blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ to have remission of all my Sins and my Body I Comitt to the Earth to be Buried in Such Decent manner as my Executors herein after named shall think fitt and as touching such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me I Give and Dispose of the same in manner following that is to say,
Imprimis I will and Direct that all my Just Debts be paid by my Executors here after named forth and out of my real and personal Estate
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Trusty and well beloved Brother Peter Heslop of Lartington Yeoman and my good Friend Francis Boldron of Raby Park Yeoman and my Cousin Joseph Kipling of Roods near Bowes Yeoman their heires and assigns as well all my Lands and and Estate lying at Stonykeld and in the parish of Bowes as all other my Real Estate whatsoever Together with all my Goods Chattles and Personall Estate whatsoever upon Trust to Mortgage Sell and Dispose thereof or any part thereof respectively at their Discretion when and as occasion shall require To Enable them as well to pay of & Discharge all my Just Debts Legacys and Funerall Expenses as to raise and pay the portion and portions of my Severall Children and which Portion I Will shall be paid in such proportion and manner as they my said Trustees shall judge best and most deserving and my will is that from and after payment of my Debts Legacys and Funerall Expenses or untill my reall Estate be sold that all all the rents and profitts of my real Estate till sold as also all the Interest of the money arising by sale thereof or any part there of shall be managed and put forth at Interest to the best Advantage for and towards the maintenance and Education of my Children in such prudent manner as they my said Trustees shall think most propper and convenient yet nevertheless my will and Desire is that my Son John shall as my eldest Son have the greatest portion and Share out of my Estate and that he and his Brother my younger Son shall be put out to some Suitable Trades [?] and that both they and my Daughter shall be all managed prudently educated and disposed of at the Discretion of my said Trustees and Executors or the major part of them
And my Desire is and so I recomend it to all my Children that as their portions are by this my Will left to the intire Discretion of my Executors that they Fear God and behave well so as to deserve the good opinion of my Executors and whereas all or most of Household Furniture that is in my Brothers house at Lartington which my Mother and said Brother Heslops House do belong to me and my Children my will is that the same or such part there of as my trustees shall think good and propper to keep shall be preserved and kept by them my said Trustees for my said Childrens use and Distributed amongst them when and as they shall think fitt
I also Desire that I may be decently Buried at Startforth near my late Dear wife at the Discretion of my said Trustees John Sayer Peter Heslop and Francis Bolron whom I make and Constitute and Appoint Joynt Executors of this my last will and my will and Desires that my Trustees Shall not be Answerable or Accountable for any Actidentall loss in Debts or in the placeing or putting out of money at interest or for other their management in this trust unless such be Occasioned by or through their own willfull Default Neglect or Conduct In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of June in the sixth year of the Reign of his present Majesty King George the Second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty three

Whereas I William Bousfield have already made my last Will and being aminded to make some alterac[i]ons therein I do hereby make this Codicill thereto which I will and Desire may be taken as part of my last will
And whereas in and by my said will I have given my Executors and Trustees all my Lands and Estates to be Settled and Divided amongst my Children as therein Expressed I now hereby rovok all such Divices and Bequests so far as relate thereunto and I do hereby in the first place Give my said Trustees and their heires all my lands and Estate at Stonykeld and all or any part thereof for or towards payment or Satisfaction of my Just Debts Legacys and Funerall Expences and from and after such Sale or mortgage and such payments as aforesaid my will then is and I do hereby devise to my Son John and his heires all that messuage or Tenement with the Lands Closes there unto belonging scituate lying and being and being at Stonykeld in the parish of Bowes and now in the possession of William Sayer and Com[m]only Called by the name of Jacksons House Subject to the Legacys here after named, that is to say, To my Daughter Jane the sum of Thirty Pounds to be paid her at her attaining the age of twenty one years with all the Household Furniture both at Lartington and in the house where I now Dwell and I also hereby Give and Devise to my youngest Son William all that Messuage or Cottage with the Closes there unto belonging Scituate lying and Being at Stonykeld aforesaid now in the possession of Mary Sayer and comonly Called Bainbridges House yet my will is nevertheless That my Trustees shall Yearly Lett and Dispose all my said reall Estate untill my Sons John and William shall attain their respective ages of Twenty one years and that they also shall after allowing my Sons such maintenance as they my said Trustees shall judge requisite pay and apply the profitts thereof for and towards the Discharge of debts Legacys and Funerall Expenses as well as the maintenance and Education of my Children also my mind and will is that in case all my Children should dye before their respective ages of Twenty one years my real Estate shall be subject to such Debts and Legacys hereafter named, that is to say, To my Brother Peter Heslop Twenty pounds To my Brother John Heslop Twenty pounds to my Brother Christopher Heslop Ten pounds To my Niece Mary Bousfield Daughter to Francis Bousfield the Sum of Ten pounds To my Good friends Francis Bolron and Joseph Kipling of Roods Yeoman the Sume of five pounds apiece To my Brother Francis Five pounds to my three Sisters Margaret Rebecca and Ann Five shillings apiece to be paid them within six months after Both of my said Sons and Daughters are Dead.
